Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an organized scientific approach that focuses on analyzing, modifying and improving socially significant behaviors. ABA uses research based principles that stress the direct manipulation of environmental variables and positive reinforcement. The goal of ABA is to encourage socially acceptable behaviors while reducing aggressive, disruptive and other problematic behaviors such as tantrums, screaming and repetitive self-stimulatory behaviors.
